Founded in 1939, Aitor initially functioned as a sector cutler and hardware dealer, producing pocketknives (known as the 'red line') plus a few sports knives. The firm evolved into the production of a more refined ‘Green Line’ range of multi-purpose pocketknives, as well as green-handled survival knives for military and police use.
Aitor's reputation as a prestigious knife manufacturer rapidly spread across Spain and around Europe.
Soon, Aitor was servicing an expanding overseas market for their uniquely styled, functionally reliable bladeware.  These days 50% of Aitor products are exported, mainly to neighbouring countries Germany, France and Italy and further afield into Japan, Argentina and the USA.

Aitor products have always attracted the attention of Australian outdoor users when made available... and we are pleased to be able to present the following range, ideal for Australian conditions.

THE GREEN LINE - Olive Drab Handles
  • Tough and dependable efficient bladeware for the serious outdoors knife user.
  • European stainless bladesteel (includes Carbon 1.5, Chromium 13) precisely hardened & tempered (58RC).
  • A Rockwell Hardness test punch mark appears on blades.

  •

    Green Line Pocketknives (navajas multiusos).
Aitor Greenline pocketknives are serious military/civilian survival models. The robust nylon handle scales are chequered olive drab, which is embellished with the gold-coloured Aitor crest.  The stainless 7-cm spear-point blade  is ground from 2.5-mm thick bladesteel, which is thick for a pocketknife. And when the blade is tucked away the unit measures 11-cm closed, including a metal extension with a ring/thong-hole to enable secure carriage via a chain or para-cord.

Aitor's Green Line NATO belt knives (cuchillos)

In fixed-blades, a fantastic trio of Green Line NATO models make ideal belt knives for the professional user.
The modified V-ground Bowie-style blades with a long clipped-point have been fashioned from 5-mm thick stainless bladesteel that features an aesthetically pleasing ‘worked back’. Each blade has a generous section of straight edge for slicing, a sweeping skinning edge up to the tip and an excellent piercing point.
Aitor utilizes stainless steel that includes in its chemical analysis carbon (inox) 1.50 and chromium 13, which is not dissimilar to 440C stainless bladesteel inclusions, but with better features. Heat treatment (hardening & tempering) is between 56RC & 58RC (Rockwell hardness). Each Aitor blade bears the RC test punch mark as part of the quality control process.
The round palm-filling handle, like the Green Line pocketknives, is of a durable olive-green drab nylon. The chequered bulbous grip is furnished with a uniquely-designed cross-guard and a hooked butt-cap with thong-hole, thereby ensuring the knife stays firmly in the hand for all the hard tasks it’s called upon to perform. A matching green hard nylon sheath is fitted with a webbing belt loop with quick-release facility and a knife retaining strap.

Aitor ~ FOR PIG HUNTERS - Olivewood handles.

Aitor manufactures model 16088 sticking knife and the 16074 Hacheta  hunter’s axe, with an Olivewood handle - warm and comfortable and able to be customized using files and abrasives to provide a personalized grip.

A088 Pig Hunter’s Knife.
The skillfully conceived pighunter has a 23-cm (9-inch) blade ground from 5-mm stainless bladesteel with a clipped-point, very long grooves (fullers in old terminology) and a sound spine at the tip to accommodate piercing.
The solid brass cross-guard is, of necessity, substantial; however, the knife remains ‘blade heavy’ as it should be to fulfill the knife’s intended purpose as ‘directed’ by the hunter.

blade width: 5mm
blade length: 23-cm  (9")
Overall length: 35-cm
Sheath: leather belt pouch

AKC mailorder    $139.00 + $13.50 post
