Parallex Series - Model 318 - contemporary framelock knife with curved, open-channel, lightwight handle

The one-hand open/close Parallex is compact and provides an interesting blend of contemporary styling and rugged durability. The curved, contoured slope of its stainless steel handle sits comfortably in your hand. Geometrically shaped "windows" (lightening holes) in the handle add to the styling and, more importantly, reduce the overall weight. The hole at the butt-end of the handle serves as a lanyard hole. Blades are made of 420HC stainless steel, heat-treated to RC 58 for hardness and corrosion-resistance. 

The 318 has a 2-3/4" partially serrated drop-point blade, locks open to 6-3/4" and is 4-1/8" closed. It weighs 3.7 oz. with a handy pocket/belt clip. As with all Buck knives, the Parallex blades are finished with Buck's advanced Edge2x™ technology, which makes them sharper out of the box, hold an edge longer and easier to re-sharpen. The partially serrated blade is 420HC grade stainless steel – HC standing for Higher Carbon content within the blade, which when treated by Buck knives, becomes a blade which has good corrosion resistance and edge holding ability. A framelock mechanism ensures the knife won't close on you when in use.
