This fabulous range of top quality hunting and fishing knives is manufactured by Zlatoust A & R of Russia, which is situated on the Ay River in the Chelyabinsk Region of Russia. Zlatoust was founded in 1754 with the construction of a large ironworks and shortly thereafter became a major arms manufacturing centre producing sabres and swords. From the early 1800s Zlatoust developed into an industrial city specializing in metallurgy, mechanical engineering and tool-making, as well as being recognized to this day as a world leader in artistic engraving on knives and swords. Zlatoust A & R Kompany maintains the Russian tradition by providing highly practical and very collectable knives for campers, hunters and fishers. Functionally contoured and attractively figured hardwood handles are fashioned from Karelian Birchwood that is indigenous to Russia. The immaculately finished leather sheaths are crafted from top grain cowhide by Stich-Profi Company of Ekaterinburg. |
