    The S.S.A.A. - A.K.C. link

Since the November 1988 issue of the  Australian Shooters Journal, Keith Spencer (Principal, Australasian Knife Collectors)  has had a monthly knife column published under the title of  "EDGEMASTER".

The EDGEMASTER column is about people helping people in a mutual way in the incredibly interesting world of knife making, using and collecting. Credit must go the S.S.A.A.  for producing a marvellous vehicle - Australian Shooters Journal magazine, now known as  Australian Shooter, thereby providing the link where knife-minded members (and those who buy the magazine from news-stands) can communicate in their sphere of interest.

    Bernard Levine - A.K.C. Link

I first  met Bernard in San Francisco in 1987. We became instant friends. Later Bernard kindly accommodated me at his home in Eugene, Oregon. He was immensely helpful on that occasion by providing a heavy-duty critique of the manuscript of my first book. It caused a re-write. A hard lesson learned. Thanks Bernie! The best baptism an aspiring author could get.

Over the years we've kept in contact and shared knowledge. A smart and scholarly fellow with a sophisticated sense of humour, I rate him by far and away the leading knifewriter in the world. It is a privilege to maintain a mutual website connection across the world with Mr Levine. No knife-minded soul ought to be without Bernard's books in their library.

Why don't we display makers and collectors  links?
The Australasian Knife Collectors Club (A.K.C.) endeavours to treat all members equitably.  Website-links to knifemakers and collectors who have home-pages/email facilities obviously create an advantage over members who do not have this technology. Therefore, it is the policy of the A.K.C. not to advertise such links.
However, the A.K.C. does act as a conduit for members on an individual basis, contacting other members, knifemakers or collectors as appropriate. Address details are not released without authorisation. Phone numbers (or email addresses) are passed on with discretion and with the owners permission.
