DIAMOND SHARPENERS:  Diamond is the hardest known natural material known to man. Diamonds are specifically renowned as a material with superlative physical qualities that make excellent abrasives. The atomic connectivity of the carbon atoms gives the diamond its hardness. Diamonds are so strong they can only be scratched by other diamonds. GATCO diamond sharpeners can be used to rapidly and precisely sharpen kitchen, sport and utility cutlery, carbide tools, scissors and other edge-cutting instruments.

Because Spyderco's benchstones are flat and broad they are highly effective for honing wide tools like plane irons, chisels, large blades, woodworking equipment, razors, even ski edges, and of course, for knives of any blade length.

All EZE-LAP products start off a little rough to the touch, this is just the result of the manufacturing process where some of the diamonds are still “proud” of the locking substrate. After a short usage time the surface will become very smooth. This is the way they need to be! In fact, the smoother they feel the better they will work, the diamonds will remove metal to create a sharp edge and the locking substrate will polish the edge at the same time.

And yes, we combone postage! To Clean and Care: EZE-LAP diamond sharpeners require regular cleaning with detergent and water to clean out the pores of the abrasive. Turps, CRC or WD40 can also be used. If EZE-LAP products are used in fishing, the surface needs to be rinsed clean of salty water and sprayed with CRC or WD 40 to prevent rusting.

Stropping Paste/Rouge While there are many different pastes and rouges manufactured, we offer two complimentary rouges in a single pack, specifically manufactured for razor stops in Solingen, Germany. • Red Sharpening Rouge has good sharpening ability, will refresh a mildly dull blade and should not be used more than once a month.  • Blue/Black Stropping Rouge is more waxy with less cutting power – and can be used every second day of stropping if desired.
